The PSI Equivalence Exam

The PSI (Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland) Exam is a mandatory assessment for internationally qualified pharmacists who wish to practice in Ireland. It tests candidates' knowledge, skills, and professional competence to ensure they meet Irish pharmacy standards. Successful completion is required before registration with the PSI as a licensed pharmacist.

Make sure you qualify to register. To sit the exam, you must have:

Once you receive your Eligibility Outcome Letter, you can register for the PSI Equivalence Exam.
Registration details, available exam windows, and deadlines are published by PSI. You must book your exam session through PSI’s official system before the closing date.

  • Submit your Third Country Qualification Recognition (TCQR) application to the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).

  • Receive the Eligibility Outcome Letter from PSI confirming that you are eligible to take the Equivalence Exam.
